Are platypus poisinos?

Platypodes are not poisonous. In fact the Aboriginal people consider them a delicacy. They are completely protected now so I can't confirm that. The male platypus has a spur on each hind leg above the feet with a gland that spits venom into any wound made by the spur. The venom is seldom fatal to any animal but it is excruciatingly painful.
